Sunflower Wedding
74Growing up, my parents owned a weekend property. There was a wild field with tall grasses where the sunflowers grew. They grew so much taller than me, but we always beautiful and cheery. For a wedding, they are divine.
Sunflower Wedding Invitations
One of the cutest ideas that I have seen for sunflower wedding invitations was with a little wooden sunflower button. The invitations were printed on very pale yellow paper with brown printed letters. There was a yellow ribbon tied around the middle with an adorable wooden sunflower bead. it was one of the nicest invitations that I have seen.
Sunflower Wedding Dress
To incorporate sunflowers into your wedding dress, you need not stray too far from a traditional wedding dress. You can have a wide yellow ribbon tied around your waist. You could also have a lovely simple white dress and carry your sunflowers, which will be just as nice.
Sunflower Wedding Flowers
Obviously, you will be using sunflowers. You can have a bouquet made up with white or yellow roses with the sunflowers or you could use sunflowers alone. The sunflowers, when would tightly together, make a bulbous shape where the flowers come together which can be very pretty.
Sunflower Wedding Centerpiece
At the same wedding that sent out the invitations with the sunflower buttons, they had this unique sunflower wedding centerpiece. The had yellow linens on all of the tables with dark brown flatware. This was a neat way to extend the sunflower theme to every table. Then, in the middle of each table, she placed a brown plate and put a small vase with three sunflowers in each. It was simple and lovely.
Sunflower Wedding Cake
There are so many options for wedding cakes with sunflowers. One idea is to put one large sunflower as the cake topper on the top tier. Then on the other tiers wrap yellow ribbons. You can have sunflowers cascading down one side of the cake or randomly placed throughout.
Sunflower Wedding Favors
I am going to go to my default favorite, the flower pen. Glue a large silk sunflower to the pen so that the flower is at the en and the stem goes down the length of the pen. Then wrap a ribbon around the whole length of the pen, either tying or gluing it in place. Another idea is to give out sunflower candles, which can be bought inexpensively in bulk.
